Our Team
Owner/Founder/Head Coach
Miss Kim
Miss Kim is the Owner and Founder of Cartwright Dance Collective (CDC). She started dancing at the age of two and has loved it ever since. As a child, she successfully auditioned and trained with Scottish Ballet Associates Programme and UK Theatre School.
Miss Kim left school to pursue her love of dance and completed her HNC and HND Dance Artist at Reid Kerr College
(Now West of Scotland College).
Miss Kim's ballet training involved studying RAD Pre-Primary to Advanced 1 level, before completing her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies and becoming a Registered RAD Teacher. She went on to complete her qualified teacher training in Contemporary Dance with Rambert Grades and Acro Dance with Acrobatic Arts.
While attending Strathclyde and Stirling University to pursue another career, for the past nine years, Miss Kim has continued to perform and teach across the UK.
After getting married in 2023, in 2024 Miss Kim and her family took time deciding where they wanted to start the next chapter of their story before moving house and welcoming their little boy into the world.
Sharing her love of dance with others has always been her passion. Growing up in a small village inspired Miss Kim to create a dance school with a true community spirit, which is something she will continue to develop at Cartwright Dance Collective.
Miss Kim currently teaches Ballet, Contemporary and Acro at CDC.

Sophie Lafferty
Miss Sophie has been performing from a young age, attending dance classes since she was 3 years old. She then went on to studying Musical Theatre at New College Lanarkshire and earning at BA in Musical Theatre in 2021.
Miss Sophie has performed all over the world on cruise ships as a Production Vocalist seeing countries as far as Brazil and Argentina.
Miss Sophie has always had a passion for teaching having worked with kids previously at Hunters Quay Holiday Park as part of their entertainment team and teaching at various other schools after graduation.

Aimee Lee
Miss Aimee has always had a passion for performing and has been dancing since the age of three. She has both stage and competitive dance experience and has successfully completed her ISTD Intermediate Modern Examinations. Alongside her dance training, Miss Aimee has eight years of gymnastics experience, specialising in tumbling and floor work.
Miss Aimee is also a member of Loudoun Musical Society, where she continues to love performing. She also works as a primary school teacher, striving to create a nurturing and calm environment for the children she teaches.

Briony Ramsay
Briony has been around the dance industry for about 10 years. She loves and appreciates it all alongside the commitment it takes. Her favourite style of dance is Lyrical Contemporary, loving all music/lyrics she enjoys seeing it brought to life through movement. With a background in communications alongside people management, she have a genuine passion for celebrating & supporting people.
At CDC her goal is to bring life to our dancers’ stories, achievements and personalities. She aims to create content that feels real - the kind that shows exactly what makes CDC such a special community.

We have built a Dance School that offers Ballet, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Jazz and Musical Theatre. With highly skilled, experienced and qualified teachers, we provide dancers with performance, event and exam opportunities.
