We follow the internationally recognised RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) Syllabus, offering a progressive learning structure that starts with Pre-Primary and Primary levels, and then moves on to Graded and Vocational levels including Character work and Pointe work.
Although no class is mandatory, we encourage all dancers to participate in ballet to build a strong foundation in technique, discipline, and artistry. Ballet enhances flexibility, strength, and coordination, allowing dancers to execute movements with grace and precision. Additionally, ballet fosters a deep understanding of body alignment and musicality, which are crucial for all dance styles.
Character Dance begins at Grade 1 and is the theatrical presentation of national and folk dances from different countries. Character work teaches musicality, rhythm and mime, dancers often work with a prop and perform in groups, partners and as a soloist. The partner work involved in character dance enables dancers to interact with each other developing trust and confidence.
Pointe work begins at vocational level at the discretion of the Ballet Teacher. Pointe work involves dancing on the tips of the toes using specially designed shoes called pointe shoes. This technique is a hallmark of classical ballet and requires exceptional strength, balance, and technique.

Contemporary

We follow the Rambert Grades Contemporary Syllabus. Rambert Grades was founded by two of the worlds leading contemporary dance organisations; Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and Rambert Company.

The Ethos that surrounds and informs all aspects of the syllabus is grounded in nurturing each individual's voice. Students gain transferable skills and knowledge in Contemporary Dance which enables them to unleash their creative force. Contemporary is a style of dance that combines elements from other styles such as ballet, jazz, modern and lyrical. These classes focus on technique, performance and creativity. Dancers will learn new skills, floor work and choreography while being encouraged to explore their own individuality and expression.

While the Early Years Programme is centred around encouraging children to develop physical skills, improve communication, harness musicality, foster creativity and grow in confidence, Grades 1-8 focus more on technique, performance and creativity.
Acro
We follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus and certification. Acrobatic Arts offers a comprehensive training program for dance educators to safely teach Acro-Dance. Acro-dance is the fusion of classical dance technique and the precision of acrobatic elements. This style will focus on flexibility, balance, tricks and tumbling skills.
Acro Dance is often defined by unique choreography, Acro Dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements in dance. A great style to help our dancers to become fearless, high energy performers!
Musical Theatre
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) offers a Musical Theatre syllabus that provides a progressive structure for young performers to develop their skills, knowledge, and understanding of the history and context of musical theatre.
Along with a fun and exciting way for young performers to enjoy Musical Theatre classes, this syllabus is designed to support performance based exams and preparation for further training and professional roles.

Musical theatre is a dazzling and dynamic art form that brings together music, acting, and dance to tell stories in a way that is emotionally powerful and visually captivating.
A great way for our dancers to explore their other talents, Musical Theatre supports other dance styles by encouraging use of expression, increased confidence and a whole lot of fun!
